Foxtrail offers a unique opportunity to explore Switzerland’s mountain world in a fun way. Our trails, which are not too challenging, lead through picturesque mountain landscapes, often including relaxing mountain railway rides. With tricky puzzles, we combine nature with adventure, and our routes offer unforgettable insights into tourist locations in a completely new way.

In the Saas Valley, you follow in the footsteps of the legendary priest Imseng. First you explore Saas-Grund – the mountain village is small but full of Walser history. The route continues through the car-free village of Saas-Fee with its many historic Walser houses, before taking you high up to the Felskinn station. A unique view awaits you here – glacier and mountain panorama included. The hiking trail takes you past the Murmeliwiese meadow and back to the village.

Lenzerheide is a popular destination in both summer and winter. The Foxtrail Anda presents itself in a different setting depending on the season. The picturesque Heidsee lake takes centre stage at the beginning, while the second part takes you through an enchanting forest.

Come with us into the wonderful mountain world around the Artemis trail. The start is at the valley station of the Klewenalp mountain railway, where you can take the cable car to hunt for clues. A first-class view of Lake Uri and numerous mountain peaks awaits you at the top. If you start after 1.50 p.m., make sure you walk quickly so that you make it down to the valley in time for the last gondola at 5.30 p.m.! The mountain railway ticket is included in the price.
Summer: A leisurely circular hiking trail gives you the opportunity to experience the alpine flora and fauna as well as the Foxtrail posts at the same time.
Winter: If there is enough snow, an adrenaline rush awaits you on the rapid toboggan run. You will find the final post after a chairlift ride.

This trail combines the two trails Cuolm and Striunau into one longer variant. The trail is based on the rumour that Thomas Mann wrote his novel “The Magic Mountain” in a secret library in Davos. On the trail, you explore Davos village and the Schatzalp in one. That means for you: The charm of the mountain village combined with the impressive mountain scenery. The ticket for the Schatzalp railway is included in the price.

A mythical creature called “Dahu” has been sighted in Val d’Anniviers – the trail takes you on a search for clues. You will find yourself in the charming mountain village of Zinal, surrounded by a marvellous mountain world. The trail leads you through short sections of forest, takes you to the chapel and past the idyllic chalets.

This Foxtrail revolves around a 2000-year-old secret of the Alps. The start is at the Riederalp West mountain station, where you stroll through the village and then continue on the hiking trail through meadows and forest above Bettmeralp. You will pass the impressive ice grotto and hike along the Bettmersee lake, where you will find the end of the trail.
Mountain railways are not included in the ticket.

The trail starts in the village and continues across the field until you reach the pump track. After a stop at the curling hall, the chairlift takes you to lofty heights. You float from Wildhaus to Oberdorf. You have a wonderful view of the Säntis and the Churfirsten in front of you. You finish the trail at the Oberdorf restaurant. The chairlift ride is included in the ticket price.

Funtauna starts in the modern Stenna Mall. You then walk through Flims and explore the mix of old houses and modern buildings. After arriving at the Flims Waldhaus, you pass the village fountain and walk through a small wooded area into the park of the luxury Hotel Waldhaus. The trail ends at the curling hall.

Truccas Tschiel is the combination trail of the two shorter trails in Laax and connects the two mountain villages of Laax and Falera. You can savour the Grisons region with its mountain peaks, unique flora and small mountain villages to the full on this trail.

So, have we managed to convince you of the beauty of the Swiss mountains? Do you fancy going on a voyage of discovery yourself and exploring the majestic Alps? With Foxtrail, the experience becomes an unforgettable adventure that will stay with you for a long time.

Foxtrails are a real experience, especially in autumn: the natural surroundings are warm and colourful, the air is clear and fresh, and the hikes through forests, along lakes or through historic towns are an unforgettable experience. Our area managers have put together a selection of the best trails for autumn that will take you right into the heart of the colourful autumn wonderland. Whether you prefer to stroll through the old town or venture into the mountains, here are our recommendations for unforgettable autumn days on the Foxtrail.

This trail takes you through the historic old town of St. Gallen and up to the picturesque Drei Weieren. In autumn, the landscape presents itself in a warm play of colours, the gentle hills and the view of Lake Constance are illuminated in gold by the low sun. The autumnal tranquillity in the forests around the ponds offers you the perfect backdrop to enjoy nature to the full. The trail then takes you into the old town, where the special autumnal magic of the historic alleyways awaits you alongside the impressive Abbey Library and Klosterplatz square.

Lenzerheide is a popular excursion destination all year round, but in autumn the region shows its quieter but no less impressive side. The Foxtrail Anda first takes you to the idyllic Heidsee lake, which is often covered in a mystical mist in autumn before the sun bathes it in golden light. The trail continues through forests that glow in bright shades of red and golden yellow. The cool autumn air and the rustling of the leaves underfoot make this trail a particularly atmospheric experience.

In the Aletsch Arena, high up in the Alps, autumn becomes a spectacular stage. The Foxtrail Desoria takes you along meadows and forests above Bettmeralp, where the colourful autumn leaves combine with the majestic white of the glacier and the rugged rocks of the mountains. The hike to Bettmersee, which lies there in autumn in tranquil silence, is particularly impressive. The clear mountain air and the magnificent play of colours in nature make this trail a unique experience.

In idyllic Illnau-Effretikon, the Foxtrail Elixira awaits you with a mixture of nature and puzzles. In autumn, the fields and forests glow in bright colours as you hike through the village and past mysterious places. The sound of birdsong and rustling leaves accompany you on your way – an autumn walk that is both relaxing and exciting. The idyllic landscape around Moosburg Castle, framed by golden foliage, invites you to soak up the autumnal atmosphere.

The autumnal colours make Bern particularly charming at this time of year. The Foxtrail Granit takes you through the neighbourhoods, along the River Aare and into the heart of the historic old town. As you stroll through the Bärenpark, the autumnal trees provide a magnificent sight. The ascent to the cathedral platform is particularly worthwhile in autumn, as the view over the old town and the autumnal colours of the surrounding forests are breathtaking.

Explore the green side of Zurich away from the hustle and bustle of the city on the Foxtrail Gaia. In autumn, the Limmat riverside path is transformed into a golden ribbon of foliage, and the tranquillity of the Werdinsel offers a welcome break. The view from Hohenklingenallee, framed by the warm autumn colours, gives you the feeling of being immersed in another world. This trail shows how versatile Zurich can be in autumn – from the urban container district to almost rural paths.

Above the rooftops of Zurich, the Foxtrail Ikarus takes you through the heights and depths of the city. The trail offers breathtaking views, especially in autumn: The city below you in the golden colours of autumn and the clear sky above – a unique experience. The forest on Spyristeig, through which you hike, shows itself in its magnificent autumn colours and creates a pleasant atmosphere while you enjoy the view over Zurich.

Surrounded by historical sites and the autumnal ambience, the Foxtrail Vindonissa offers a perfect blend of history and nature. The trail along the Legionary Trail and through the grounds of Königsfelden Abbey is particularly impressive in autumn, when the trees change colour and the silence of the surroundings makes the historical secrets seem even more mystical.

At Lake Hallwyl you can immerse yourself in the history of the pile dwellers, and in autumn the Foxtrail Hallwyl Castle also offers an incomparable natural scenery. The lake, the woods and the old paths around the moated castle are bathed in a warm light by the autumn sun. The golden foliage of the trees and the tranquil atmosphere of the nature reserve make this trail an absolute highlight.

After these recommendations, you’re sure to feel the thirst for adventure rising within you. Foxtrail not only offers you the opportunity to explore the most beautiful autumn landscapes in Switzerland, but also an exciting adventure that appeals to both the mind and the heart. Whether with family, friends or colleagues – Foxtrail in autumn is an experience to remember.

]]>Once again, you can look forward to fascinating trails that will bring you closer to the beauty of Switzerland in the warm summer months. Whether you prefer lakes, forests or mountains – there’s something for everyone here. We also have a special highlight for you: a trail in Liechtenstein that takes you into the picturesque landscape of this small but fascinating country.

Discover the old town of St. Gallen and the Drei Weieren! The trail starts with the Appenzellerbahn railway, which takes you out into nature. From the Notkersegg monastery, you walk into the beautiful Drei Weiher area. The green landscapes and views as far as Lake Constance offer a special treat for the eyes. Then it’s off to the old town of St. Gallen. Historical highlights await you there with the world-famous Abbey Library and the Abbey Square.

Furisto starts with a short journey on the local bus. Once you reach your destination, the trail leads through an old residential neighbourhood surrounded by vineyards. An idyllic route for you back to the art-filled centre of Vaduz. After a short stretch along the stream, the trail leads past the cathedral and the government district to the final post, where the trail ends.

Far away from the lively city centre, you can explore the green parts of the city with Gaia. In Altstetten, the trail takes you to the colourful FOGO container district, from where the green pedestrian bridge takes you safely across the A1. Soon there is no sign of the traffic – you walk along the Limmat riverside path across Werdinsel, a unique spot in Zurich. Enjoy the view from Hohenklingenallee before passing the vineyard to the end of the trail.

Off to the lofty heights of Lugano: after a short walk through a residential neighbourhood and the Parco del Tassino, you reach the ‘Funicolare’, as the disused funicular railway is called. From there, take the stairs down to the lake and the church of Santa Maria degli Angioli. After the chase through the pretty alleyways of the old town, you pass Piazza Reforma and finish the trail near the railway station.

There are many reasons to visit Vitznau: The village lies in an idyllic bay on Lake Lucerne – the Lucerne Riviera. After starting at the railway station, the trail leads up the mountain towards Hinterbergen. You will be challenged at a post at the former military fortress and continue to the waterfall. Enjoy the view of the unique panorama in the heart of Switzerland. Helios will then take you to Weggis, where you will cross the Hügeri hill. The final stretch along the lake is also a highlight with a fantastic view of the Alps.

Hera takes you through the city centre of Zurich: after starting in the Shopville at the main railway station, you reach the Limmat via Velostation Nord. You walk through the historic Platzspitzpark and reach the Dynamo youth culture centre – from there you continue through the neighbourhood. You then return to the lively city centre: from Bellevue, take a short detour to the old alleyways of Niederdorf and finally cross the Münsterbrücke bridge.
An educational tour with lots of information on the topics of recycling management, water supply and sustainable mobility.

Ikarus is the Foxtrail above the rooftops of Zurich. The start takes you via the Letten viaduct to the Unterer Letten river baths. The steps take you through the residential neighbourhood of Wipkingen and finally up the mountain on the Rigiblick cable car. There are more steps to climb until you reach the Spyristeig trail at the top at the edge of the forest. The effort is rewarded with a unique view over the city. You walk along the hiking trails to the zoo and then take the Polybahn, a Zurich landmark, to Central.

These were our next recommendations for unforgettable summer trails. We hope you have once again found exciting inspiration for enjoying an active summer. Remember that this is only the second part of our series – you can find more fascinating trails in part 1 and part 3 of our blog series.

So, pack your bags and start your next adventure with Foxtrail!

Here are some reasons why Foxtrail is ideal for such events:
Foxtrail is an interactive scavenger hunt that takes participants on an exciting discovery tour of the surrounding area. This activity allows participants to get to know the local culture and sights, which is particularly attractive if the seminar or conference is taking place in a new or interesting city.

By requiring participants to work together to decipher clues and overcome challenges, Foxtrail encourages co-operation and strengthens team spirit. Participants learn to communicate effectively and find solutions together, which not only strengthens cohesion but also teaches important skills for everyday working life.

The playful and adventurous nature of Foxtrail ensures a high level of motivation and commitment from participants. This kind of variety helps to clear the mind and re-energise, which has a positive effect on productivity and general well-being.

Foxtrail takes place outdoors, which gives participants the opportunity to exercise in the fresh air and take a break from the often stuffy conference rooms. The physical activity and fresh air contribute to general health and can refresh the mind, which in turn promotes creativity and well-being.

Our premium package offers you an all-round carefree experience that leaves nothing to be desired. A Foxtrail is a unique mixture of scavenger hunt, sightseeing and outdoor escape game. Participants have to follow clues, solve puzzles and complete tasks in order to follow Fredy Fox’s trail. With over 70 individually designed trails in Switzerland, Foxtrail makes the most of the unique geographical features of each location.
The trails are designed to challenge both mentally and physically, encouraging teamwork and creativity. In this regard, we recommend Foxtrail for ages 10-12 and up.

A Foxtrail forces participants to work together. Each group has to make decisions together, coordinate and utilise the strengths of each individual member to solve the puzzles. This not only promotes cooperation, but also strengthens trust and cohesion within the class.

Many Foxtrails are themed and can therefore convey specific learning content. Whether it’s historical and cultural facts, geographical knowledge or scientific phenomena – the puzzles and tasks are designed to impart knowledge in a fun way. Pupils often absorb information better when they are actively involved and can apply what they have learnt directly.

During a Foxtrail, students are constantly faced with new challenges that require creative and logical solutions. This not only promotes critical thinking, but also the ability to tackle problems in a structured way and to develop and try out different solutions.

Another great advantage of a Foxtrail is the exercise in the fresh air. At a time when children and young people are spending more and more time indoors and in front of screens, every opportunity to exercise outdoors is valuable. Physical activity not only promotes health, but also improves concentration and general well-being. Many of our trails lead along breathtaking Swiss lakes or through the mountain regions of Central Switzerland, Graubünden and Valais.

Foxtrail often takes its participants to fascinating, lesser-known corners of cities and regions. These adventures allow students to explore familiar places in a completely new way. Even locals discover new facets of their surroundings.

A key aspect of Foxtrail’s discovery concept is the opportunity to create unique experiences by providing access to places that are otherwise difficult or impossible to reach. Thanks to partnerships with cultural institutions such as museums and castles, Foxtrail enables exclusive tours of these sites as well as access to secret passages, bunkers and underground tunnels.

The stations on a Foxtrail are physically installed and designed with great attention to detail. They offer a variety of interactive elements that enrich the experience and appeal to all the senses. This makes for an immersive experience and turns every trail into a unique adventure.

Foxtrail offers customised team events that are perfectly tailored to the needs of each group. The Foxtrail team takes care of all the planning and organisation so that teachers can sit back and relax. From customised routes to special start intervals or shortened trails – everything is designed to make the experience optimal and stress-free.
Large groups can easily be split into smaller groups at Foxtrail, with up to 6 participants in a team. Groups of more than 6 people split up into several start times. Large groups of up to 150 people can start within an hour, skilfully spread over several trails in a city.

Many Foxtrails include the use of public transport such as buses, trains or boats. This enriches the experience and enables seamless transport. Special means of transport such as the Marzilibahn in Bern or the Rotsee ferry in Lucerne / Ebikon enhance the Foxtrail experience and enable a multifaceted discovery of the surrounding area.

If students get stuck on a trail, they can access Foxtrail’s online help at any time. There they receive valuable tips or even the solution for a post or the correct route. This ensures that nobody gets lost and that the fun of the puzzle is maintained.

A Foxtrail is an excellent way to offer school classes a varied, educational and entertaining experience. The combination of teamwork, problem-solving tasks, exercise and exploring one’s own surroundings makes a Foxtrail an unforgettable experience that goes far beyond the traditional classroom. It is an activity that inspires both teachers and pupils and can have a lasting positive impact on the classroom climate and motivation to learn.
