Each of these Foxtrails offers unique experiences and takes you through the most beautiful landscapes in Switzerland. Get ready for adventure, fresh air and breathtaking views – the perfect summer is waiting for you!
Foxtrail Odysseus – Zurich City (Zurich region & surroundings)
Odysseus takes you into Zurich’s old town: you explore hidden corners in the city on the Limmat, enter enchanted gardens and decipher secret messages. A perfect trail for both visitors and old-established Zurich residents who think they already know their city like the back of their hand.
Foxtrail Poseidon – Lucerne, Rotsee (Lucerne region & surroundings)
The trail quickly takes you away from the concrete and into the green oasis of the city. The Dreilindenpark not only offers nature, but also wonderful views. Then it’s down the hill and through the Wesemlin neighbourhood. The destination is the Rotsee, which lies in a wonderful nature reserve. After an idyllic walk along the shore, participants take the Rotsee ferry (a small boat) and cross the lake to discover a clue. At the very end, Poseidon will take you back to the city centre, where you will visit the famous Lion Monument.
Foxtrail Prometheus – Zurich city centre (Zurich region & surroundings)
Between the old town, Google and rivers: After leaving Shopville in the main railway station, the trail leads to Selnau. There you walk along the Sihl and past Google’s headquarters to the Hürlimann site, where beer was once brewed. Prometheus then takes you zigzagging through the old town and past numerous landmarks. You follow the Limmat for a short distance, which takes you to the Stadthaus.
Foxtrail Rosalie – Winterthur (Zurich region & surroundings)
Rosalie takes you from the railway station through the historic old town of Winterthur. Colourful facades, pretty alleyways and cosy courtyards await you there. The route continues through old, enchanted parks and long disused industrial areas, inviting you to travel back in time to the 19th century, when Winterthur was a flourishing industrial city.
Foxtrail Schiefer – Bern (Bern region & surroundings)
Schiefer takes you to Bern’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. High above the Aare loop is the beautifully landscaped rose garden, which offers you a unique view over the city. Can you recognise the Bundeshaus? Fredy’s trail continues past the historic Nydegg Church to the Fountain of Justice, a cultural heritage site of national importance. Then it’s down to the Aare, where you can admire the Schwellenmätteli in the middle of the river. After the walk through the Marzili quarter, the cable car takes you directly to the Bundesterrasse, where you can now see the Federal Palace up close. You will soon reach the end of the trail in the Old Town.
Foxtrail Soletta – Solothurn (Western Switzerland region)
Soletta starts with a short bus ride to the almost 340-year-old Capuchin monastery. The trail continues via Amthausplatz and the town park to the banks of the River Aare. There it follows the Aare until the trail ends near the railway station.
Foxtrail Stella – Wettingen (Aargau region)
On this trail, you immerse yourself in a fictional legend of Wettingen Abbey. You explore the beautiful gardens on gravel paths and discover various secret corners on the monastery peninsula and on the banks of the Limmat. Behind the walls of the monastery, you will follow the legendary story of a knight and find out what mermaids have to do with it. If you start after midday, make sure you move quickly. The last posts close at 5 pm. Admission to the monastery complex is included in the ticket price.
Foxtrail TruccasTschiel – Falera, Laax (Graubünden region)
Truccas Tschiel is the combination trail of the two shorter trails in Laax and connects the two mountain villages of Laax and Falera. You can savour the Grisons region with its mountain peaks, unique flora and small mountain villages to the full on this trail.
Foxtrail Zeus – Lucerne city (Lucerne region & surroundings)
Zeus is the trail for all those who appreciate the sights of Lucerne and the panorama in equal measure. Right at the start, the trail takes you to the Chapel Bridge, through the Old Town and up to the medieval landmark Museggmauer. It then continues to the Würzenbach neighbourhood and on to the lake. After a detour to the Swiss Museum of Transport, the trail ends back in the city centre.
