Data protection
General note
Foxtrail Schweiz GmbH (hereinafter Foxtrail) is the operator of this website and the WebApp used to complete a Foxtrail. Foxtrail is therefore responsible for the collection, processing and use of your data. The protection of your personal data is of great concern to us and is based on the current federal data protection regulations. The following privacy policy provides transparency and informs you about what data is collected. You will also learn the purpose for which your data will be used, how it will be collected and processed, as well as your rights and how you can act in the event of an objection.
The processing of your data is basically the responsibility of Foxtrail. In individual cases, supplementary data protection declarations from verified third parties may apply to additional offers. These cases are actively pointed out to you.
By using this website and the WebApp, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your data as described below. You are also aware that, despite the protective measures taken by Foxtrail and its third party providers as set forth below, data transmission over the Internet involves a residual risk of security breaches. Unless otherwise stated, the following explanations apply to both the WebApp and the website.
Personal data
Personal data is data that relates to an identified or identifiable person. When purchasing a product via the website, specifically when filling out the contact form, as well as when contacting customer service (by phone or e-mail), personal data is collected and processed. This includes the information on
- Names and first names
- Birthday
- Address
- E-mail address
- Phone number
These are mediated via the contact form when booking – in the case of the WebApp, by entering the data for check-in. In this context, we consider the completion of the web form and the establishment of contact as consent within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, GDPR. The collection as well as the processing of this personal data is necessary for pre-contractual inquiries, the purchase of a product and in case of follow-up questions. The intended use of the data is service-related. The interests of Foxtrail take into account your fundamental rights as well as the protection of personal data. This means in other words that the purpose of use is based on the advice and sale of a product of Foxtrail. If a purchased product is redeemed, specifically a trail is played, the intended use expands and also includes the successful completion of a trail via WebApp. If the booked offer is in the future, the purpose of use is valid until the fulfillment of the purchased service. This means that Foxtrail collects the data for selling the product or making offers. Depending on the product, the duration of data storage varies – in the case of a voucher, for example, data storage lasts until the voucher is fully redeemed, specifically until the trail booked with it is completed. If you do not register for the newsletter, the data will not be used further. For provisions regarding the newsletter, please refer to the corresponding chapter “Newsletter data” of this declaration.
Security
As mentioned above, data transmission over the Internet involves risks for both you and Foxtrail. We make every effort to keep these at the lowest possible risk and to prevent abuses by providing appropriate levels of protection. We therefore take technical and organizational measures that are based on the legal requirements, taking into account the technology, type and scope, as well as the circumstances and intended use.
This includes ensuring confidentiality as well as the availability of data through physical and electronic access controls. Through regular training, employees with access to your data are made aware of the protection processes and the relevance of the measures. Data protection-friendly default settings and testing of hardware, software, and processes with regard to the data protection principle reinforce this security.
TLS encryption
TLS encryption is used for secure transmission of confidential content generated through the use of our website. Their operation is indicated by the lock icon in the browser bar. Thus, the transmitted data cannot be read by third parties.

For this purpose, the registration for the newsletter is logged on the basis of the registration and confirmation time as well as the IP address. If you change your details, these will also be recorded via the “Sendin Blue” marketing platform.
Via a marked link at the end of the newsletter, you have the option at any time to stop the newsletter from being sent to your e-mail address and to stop the associated data processing.
Use of “Sendin Blue
The newsletter is sent via “Sendin Blue”, a marketing platform certified by TÜV and headquartered in Paris. For technical reasons, this information could be traced back to the recipients of the newsletter, but Foxtrail and “Sendin Blue” do not perform this analysis. “Sendin Blue” does not use the data to write to the contacts out of self-interest or to pass them on to third parties.
