Foxtrail Apollon – Lucerne City
Apollon captivates with an exciting story and tricky puzzles. The search for Richard Wagner’s lost score leads on a journey to the Tribschen neighbourhood. But what happened to the score? It has been considered lost since the Second World War. Was it destroyed? Or is it still hidden in a secret place in Lucerne? The path to the lost score leads the teams to ice-cold puzzles and musical surprises. At the secret storage location, the teams finally find the solution! But they don’t have time to celebrate (yet) – the press conference is waiting.
From the centre, the trail runs along the shore of Lake Lucerne. The large green areas and the park at Ufschötti are a beautiful oasis, especially in spring when everything is in bloom.
Foxtrail Artemis – Beckenried, Klewenalp
Come with us into the wonderful mountain world around the Artemis trail. The start is at the valley station of the Klewenalp mountain railway, where you can take the cable car to hunt for clues. A first-class view of Lake Uri and numerous mountain peaks awaits you at the top. If you start after 1.50 p.m., make sure you walk quickly so that you make it down to the valley in time for the last gondola at 5.30 p.m.! The mountain railway ticket is included in the price.
Summer: A leisurely circular hiking trail gives you the opportunity to experience the alpine flora and fauna as well as the Foxtrail posts at the same time.
Winter: If there is enough snow, an adrenaline rush awaits you on the rapid toboggan run. You will find the final post after a chairlift ride.
Foxtrail Clarona – Glarus
The famous reformer Huldrych Zwingli took up his pastorate in Glarus 500 years ago. The time he spent in Glarus had a formative influence on his career.
With the Trail Clarona, we follow in the footsteps of Huldrych Zwingli in Glarus. Years before his time as a pastor and reformer, Zwingli was a talented musician who achieved considerable wealth through his art. After his death, construction workers working on the new Glarus town church accidentally discovered the treasure that Zwingli had hidden in the cellar of his home. The revelation of this secret by Fredy Fox and his team through an anonymous tip sheds new light on Zwingli’s true intentions for his fortune and puts the question of his last will and the fate of the treasure centre stage.
Foxtrail Columban – St. Gallen
The platform at the railway station marks your starting point. From there, continue to the Lokremise cultural centre in the city. A few posts later, you leave St. Gallen and reach the Mühlegg Gorge, where the Steinachbach stream roars beside you. A detour to the Abbey Library and the Textile Museum takes you back into the city’s past. Then you enter the old town centre through the monastery courtyard. Can you see the many bay windows? They are one of the special features of St. Gallen.
Foxtrail Cyan – Basel City
Follow Fredy’s trail through two different old towns in Basel: at the beginning, the trail takes you right through the city centre – past Aeschenplatz, the city’s most important traffic hub. At St. Alban-Tor Park, you first discover the historical side of the city and then follow winding paths and bridges to the banks of the Rhine. From there, Cyan takes you further into Kleinbasel’s old town. Enjoy the panoramic view on the Mittlere Brücke for a moment before diving into the Grossbasel Old Town. The city presents itself at its best here with the artistically painted historic town hall and the Gothic Basel Minster. After a short detour to the amusing Tinguely Fountain, the trail ends at Barfüsserplatz.
Foxtrail Ikarus – Zurich City
Ikarus is the Foxtrail above the rooftops of Zurich. The start takes you via the Letten viaduct to the Unterer Letten riverside pool. The steps take you through the residential neighbourhood of Wipkingen and finally up the mountain on the Rigiblick cable car. There are more steps to climb until you reach the Spyristeig trail at the top at the edge of the forest. The effort is rewarded with a unique view over the city. You walk along the hiking trails to the zoo and then take the Polybahn, a Zurich landmark, to Central.
Good winter shoes are advisable in winter.
Foxtrail Jurapark – Frick
A researcher has disappeared in the Jurapark Aargau. Rumour has it that he was looking for an unknown dinosaur species in the municipality of Frick. Was he the victim of a crime? Follow the trail from the town centre towards the town limits and find the clues. If you solve the puzzles, you will end up on a hill in the countryside. Be careful, you will have to enter the dark, damp underworld of Frick to solve the puzzle.
The start and finish are approx. 2km (30min walk) apart, no public transport connection back to the start.
Foxtrail Marble – Bern City
A little nature, a little urban, a little old town? Marmor combines everything in one excursion. In the outskirts of Tiefenau, the trail leads through the forest and down into the idyllic Felsenau neighbourhood. It then follows the River Aare to the Bremgarten tunnel and from there back to the city centre. The urban part of the trail takes you on foot across Waisenhausplatz and to Altenbergsteg. After a walk through the old town, you arrive at Kornhausplatz, where the end of the trail is approaching.
Foxtrail treasure – Thun
From Thun railway station, you can quickly reach the picturesque village of Hünibach. The trail takes you through the forest and to Hilterfingen, the village on the Riviera of Lake Thun. You continue to the boat quay and along the village stream through a pretty neighbourhood. The real treasure of the trail follows in Hünegg Park: a fairytale atmosphere surrounds the magnificent Hünegg Castle. You then return to Thun, where you explore the Schlossberg and the town church. The route then takes you up the beautiful church steps past the historic pavilion into the old town, where you can admire the lock bridge shortly before your destination.
Foxtrail Soletta – Solothurn
Soletta starts with a short bus ride to the almost 340-year-old Capuchin monastery. The trail continues via Amthausplatz and the city park to the banks of the River Aare. There it follows the Aare until the trail ends near the railway station.
Foxtrail Spartakus – Zurich city centre
The trail shows you a world of contrasts – compact in the city of Zurich. From Hardbrücke railway station, you reach the Freitagturm and the viaduct arches. Whether Josefwiese, Schiffbau or night owls, here you can experience the trendy Züri West neighbourhood in all its facets. A short walk takes you from Rennweg through the lively city centre to Schanzengraben. From there, it’s not far: through the atrium you come to Paradeplatz.
