1st owner of moon rock

In 1969, the first manned moon landing in history took place with Apollo 11. Liechtenstein-based Balzers AG supplied important components for the programme in the form of vacuum technology and the production of protective coatings. They were therefore honoured by the USA and also received a few grams of moon rock as a gift. This rock is now on display in the Liechtenstein Treasury in Vaduz.

2. stamp paradise

Liechtenstein stamps are known to philatelists all over the world and are famous for their quality. You can discover the history of philately and admire rare stamps at the Postal Museum in Vaduz.

3. sculptures

If you have an eye for art, you can marvel at a total of 28 sculptures by various world-famous sculptors in a small space while strolling through Vaduz.

4 Vaduz Castle

Vaduz Castle, formerly known as Hohenliechtenstein Castle, is situated on a rocky terrace above Vaduz, the seat of government of the Principality of Liechtenstein. Today it is the town’s landmark and the seat of the Princely House of Liechtenstein.

The old Rhine bridge is 135 metres long and was completed in 1901. Today it is the last remaining wooden bridge crossing the Rhine.

The important collection of international modern and contemporary art is also the state art collection of the Principality of Liechtenstein. The Red House is located in the Mitteldorf, the former centre of Vaduz.
