Frequently asked questions
Foxtrail GO is an innovative, app-based game and an evolution of the classic Foxtrails. It brings together the digital and analog worlds and takes you to hidden places where you’ll have to solve tricky puzzles. Foxtrail GO—the perfect choice for anyone looking for an experience that doesn’t require a lot of planning.
Foxtrail GO is a further development of our classic Foxtrails and, unlike our traditional Foxtrails, is purely digital.
Just like with Foxtrail, players on Foxtrail GO discover new, unfamiliar corners of a location and are constantly surprised. The puzzles are just as creative, varied, and surprising, and feature the typical charm and wit of Foxtrail. The new product offers the same high quality and unique experiences as the existing, popular Foxtrails. In addition, each Foxtrail GO is individually designed and enriched with local cultural elements, making every single trail one-of-a-kind.
Unlike previous Foxtrails, Foxtrail GO does not have any physical, permanently installed checkpoints; instead, the game makes use of the local surroundings. Foxtrail GO lasts 1.5–2 hours and is therefore generally shorter than traditional Foxtrails.
The goal is to successfully complete the tasks at various locations. In total, there are about 11 places to visit. At each of these locations, you can earn a machine part. The better you complete the tasks and the more points you earn, the higher the quality of the machine part you’ll obtain at that location. In the end, success depends on how well the tasks were completed at the various locations and which machine parts were earned.
Foxtrail GO is exciting and amazing; it offers variety and is a lot of fun. Every trail is unique, and the puzzles are designed differently each time. From funny challenges to tricky audio recordings, there’s something for everyone—plenty of variety and excitement guaranteed.
